The Sew Easy Sleeve / Seam Pressing Roll is an essential tool for pressing sleeves, seams, narrow garments and difficult to reach areas. When pressing seams the curved shape of the roll prevents the embossing of seam allowances onto the right side of the fabric.
Filled with sawdust, the pressing roll is covered with wool on one side (red and black), and cotton on the other side (white). The sawdust pulls the steam through the tool and helps to ‘set the press’. The wool side is designed for voluminous fabrics that require a lower temperature, whereas the cotton side is for smoother fabrics and higher temperature settings.
