After 26 wonderful years, Darrell Thomas Textiles is beginning an exciting new chapter, and we couldn't be more enthusiastic about what lies ahead!

When I first opened Darrell Thomas Textiles in Ottawa on September 18, 2000, I could never have imagined the extraordinary journey that would follow.

What began as a passion for beautiful fabrics, exceptional quality and the art of sewing grew into a business that has welcomed generations of creative individuals. From our early years in Ottawa to our beautiful location in historic Almonte, Ontario, every chapter has been filled with wonderful customers, remarkable textiles and unforgettable experiences.

On October 24, 2026, we closed the doors of our Almonte storefront for the final time. It was an emotional milestone, but certainly not the end of Darrell Thomas Textiles.

Our physical storefront has closed, but our business continues online, bringing exceptional fabrics, buttons and sewing notions directly to your doorstep.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of developing relationships with exceptional fabric suppliers, particularly in Italy and throughout Europe.

These relationships have allowed us to offer extraordinary designer fabrics, luxurious silks, beautiful linens, exceptional cottons, sophisticated knits and distinctive textiles that are often difficult to find elsewhere.

That commitment to quality will never change.

As we embrace our online future, I will continue personally selecting fabrics that inspire creativity and celebrate the joy of making something truly special.
